Montenegro Destination

  • Montenegro

Montenegro ranges from high peaks along its borders with Serbia, Kosovo and Albania, a segment of the Karst of the western Balkan Peninsula, to a narrow coastal plain that is only one to four miles (6.4 km) wide. The plain stops abruptly in the north, where Mount Lovćen and Mount Orjen plunge into the inlet of the Bay of Kotor.

  • Boka Bay

The Bay of Kotor (Montenegrin: Boka kotorska), known simply as Boka, is a winding bay of the Adriatic Sea in southwestern Montenegro. The bay, once called Europe's southernmost fjord, is in fact a ria of the disintegrated Bokelj River which used to run from the high mountain plateaus of Orjen.

  • Tivat

Tivat is a coastal town in southwest Montenegro, located in the Bay of Kotor. As of 2011, its population was 14,111. Tivat is the centre of Tivat Municipality, which is the smallest municipality by area in Montenegro.

  • Porto Montenegro

Porto Montenegro is the first comprehensive state-of-the-art deep water marina in the Adriatic Sea. The marina will have berths for 650 yachts, 150 of them super yachts, up to 150m long. These will be part of a full-service community of luxury apartments, shops, restaurants and other sports and entertainment amenities.

  • Lustica

Luštica is a peninsula on the south Adriatic Sea, located at the entrance of the Bay of Kotor. It effectively separates Tivat Bay from the Adriatic. The peninsula has an area of 47 km² and is 13 km long. The highest point of the peninsula is Obosnik peak, at 582 m. It has 35 km of coast, which accounts for 12% of Montenegrin coastline. Lustica is divided between the Herceg Novi and Tivat Montenegrin municipalities.

  • Kotor

Kotor is a coastal town in Montenegro. It is located in a secluded part of the Gulf of Kotor. The city has a population of 13,510 and is the administrative center of Kotor Municipality.
