Porto Montenegro Hosts First International Fashion Festival

This summer, the International Fashion Festival will take centre stage at the luxury superyacht marina village and homeport, Porto Montenegro, based in Tivat.

The event will take place from 26th – 28th July and will be hosted in the iconic Synchro building, a newly-renovated waterfront setting suspended over the entire village. Porto Montenegro welcomes some of the world’s most prestigious designers to the event, bringing spectacular, industry-leading fashion brands to the village for the very first time.

Powered by the renowned Belgrade-based agency, Fabrika, with more than 20 years of international experience in hosting fashion events, the festival will be opened on Thursday 26th July at Porto Montenegro’s Naval Heritage Museum, by Renato Balestra’s Exhibition Fashion Is Culture, whose high-end fashion pieces have been endorsed by celebrities, first ladies and royalty for the last few decades. His luxury exhibition of scathes will remain in the village until 8th August. 

Day two of the festival will introduce the runaway show of New York-based designer, Laquan Smith, whose distinct garments have spurred interest among Beyoncé, Lady Gaga and other international fashion icons. Meanwhile, House of Hend from Dubai, led by HE Sheikha Hend Faisal Al Qassemi, will bring a third dimension to the spectacle, presenting a collection of eastern-inspired embroidered dresses, crafted to the finest detail.

As the pinnacle of the 3-day affair, an exclusive fashion show led by international designer Antonio Grimaldi will be held on Saturday 28th July. His collection of haute couture works will take the spotlight as a reflection of artisanal and innovative creative freedom, preserving both traditional and feminine elements.

The fashion displays will be followed by a series of VIP cocktail events and exclusive afterparties, bringing what is set to be one of the most dramatic events the village has ever seen. The International Fashion Festival is among several impressive inaugural events opening the summer of 2018, pitched to be the most dynamic seasons to date.
